This Privacy Policy describes how the Sector Lapper app handles user data.

SectorLapper does not collect, store, or share users’ personal data. The app operates entirely locally on the device and does not require login, registration, or any form of identification.

2. Ads and Third-Party Data

The free version of SectorLapper displays ads provided by third-party platforms such as Google AdMob. These platforms may collect non-personal information such as:

  • IP address, which may be used to estimate a device’s general location
  • Crash logs unrelated to the user, which may be used to diagnose issues and improve the SDK.
  • Diagnostic information may also be used for advertising and analytics purposes.
  • Performance data associated with the user, such as app launch time, crash rate, or energy usage, which may be used to assess user behavior, understand the effectiveness of current product features, and plan new ones. Performance data may also be used to deliver ads, including sharing with other entities that serve advertisements.
  • A device ID, such as the device’s advertising identifier or other device identifiers linked to the app or developer, which may be used for third-party advertising and analytics.
  • Advertising data, such as ads the user has viewed, may be used to enable analytics and advertising features.
  • Other user interactions with the product, such as taps to launch the app and interaction details like video views, may be used to improve advertising performance.

This data is used by ad providers to deliver more relevant advertising and for statistical purposes.

3. App Permissions

The app may request technical permissions such as:

  • Prevent screen from sleeping: to ensure the timer remains visible during use.
  • Vibration: used to provide haptic feedback when pressing buttons.

These permissions are used solely for the app’s intended functionality and do not involve data collection.

4. Local Storage

All lap and timing data is stored locally on the user’s device and is automatically deleted when the app is restarted or as per usage.

5. Paid Version (Pro)

The Pro version of SectorLapper is ad-free and likewise does not collect personal data.

6. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated in the future. We recommend that users review this document periodically.
